From preparation to final presentation, every step builds practical skills, attention to detail, and confidence.

This is what learning looks like when it’s applied.

For students looking to take it further, the journey can continue through DCT’s pathway with Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), Cyprus.

What does a day at a college focused on tourism, hospitality, events, and culinary arts look like?

It’s a mix of learning, hands-on practice, and real-world connections. Students spend time in classrooms discussing industry trends, and then they apply that knowledge in practical settings like kitchens or event spaces.

This helps develop teamwork and problem-solving skills, which are essential in the workplace.
At Dubai College of Tourism, we focus on building skills that employers value so that students are prepared for the challenges and opportunities of the industry.

Sustainability is becoming a key part of how the hospitality and events industries operate.

During a recent session at DCT, Ali Abdulqader, Senior Director – ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) at Dubai World Trade Center, spoke to our students about what sustainability looks like in practice and why it matters.

Through real examples and industry insights, students gained a clearer understanding of how sustainable thinking is applied in everyday decisions, from operations to long-term planning.

Sessions like this help students connect what they learn in the classroom to what is happening in the industry today.

Understanding how things work in real environments takes time and practice.

At Dubai College of Tourism, students build their skills through hands-on learning, practical sessions, and exposure to situations that reflect day-to-day operations.

They move beyond theory, learning how to communicate, adapt, and take on responsibilities in real settings.
With each experience, students become more confident in how they approach their work and interact with others.

By the end of their journey, they’re not just completing a programme. They’re ready for what comes next.
