REQUEST FOR INFORMATION
Dear friends, I hope you are fine and doing well. SINA is working on planning ga study aimed at developing actionable knowledge and investment tool kits for revitalizing spate irrigation systems in Pakistan-Afghanistan border region. Currently, we are looking for a couple of spate irrigation schemes suitable for case study, in the border region, should embody many of the characteristics and challenges of spate schemes across Afghanistan, where the community have been subject to frequent climate change impacts - recurrent flood damage and droughts. We would like to focus on mitigating the impact of climate change in the area under study. I also would like to know about the ease of accessibility to conduct field research and engage with the community.Any documents on spate irrigation in Afghanistan in general, as well as documents that shed light on the specific case study areas that you would like to propose are welcomed.
