You are invited to spot lights display at the 6 landmarks around ACT from dusk to dawn during 19-21 December 2022. The lights display is one of the cerebratory activities to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Australia which falls on 19 December 2022. The Royal Thai Embassy wishes to express our sincere appreciation to ACT Government, Royal Australian Mint and Questacon for their kind support.

Thailand and Australia’s relationship is a bit like a married couple. ❤️

คุณแอนดรูว์ บิ๊กส์ครูสอนภาษาอังกฤษและเป็นพิธีกรรายการโทรทัศน์ชาวออสเตรเลียนที่อาศัยอยู่ในประเทศไทยมานานกว่า 30 ปี จะมาเล่าถึงมุมมองด้านการศึกษาภาษาอังกฤษและบทบาทของออสเตรเลียในการร่วมขับเคลื่อนอนาคตการศึกษาไทย
"ผมมองว่าความสัมพันธ์ของไทยและออสเตรเลียเปรียบได้กับคู่สมรสคู่หนึ่ง มีช่วงเวลาที่เรารักกัน แม้บางครั้งอาจจะมีทะเลาะกันเล็กน้อยบ้างแต่ในท้ายที่สุดท้ายแล้วเราต้องเคารพอีกฝ่ายเสมอ
และผมชอบวิธีที่ออสเตรเลียปฏิบัติต่อไทยอย่างให้เกียรติและไทยเองก็ให้เกียรติออสเตรลียเช่นกัน ในอนาคตผมขอให้ทั้งสองประเทศได้ทํางานและพัฒนาร่วมกันต่อไป และในท้ายที่สุดผมหวังว่าชาวออสเตรเลียเองน่าได้เรียนรู้จากประเทศไทยและในทางกลับกันคนไทยก็จะได้เรียนรู้จากประเทศออสเตรเลียเช่นกัน”

Mr Andrew Biggs, an Australian English teacher and TV personality, who has lived in Thailand for over 30 years, shares his perspective on English education in Thailand and how Australians can contribute to Thailand's education sector.
"I think Thailand and Australia's relationship is a bit like a married couple. We love each other. Sometimes we have little arguments along the way, but really, in the end, you have to always show respect for the other.
"And I love the way that Australia has great respect for Thailand, and I love the way Thailand has great respect for Australia. And may we continue to work together and develop. I think that Australians have a lot to learn from Thailand and vice versa.”

Our members participated in making moon cakes as a part of the Mid-autumn Festival on 4 October 2022 at the ANU campus. The event was jointly organized by 15 different organizations including ANU Thai Association. Thank you to all members and the organizer's team for hosting the event.
