What lunacy is this? A non-Indigenous company have issued an Indigenous company, Clothing The Gap, with a 'cease & desist' threatening legal action if they continue to use the Aboriginal flag on their items 'cause they reckon they've got it copyrighted. wah!

Fridays at the Community Grocer Market
Carlton Social Housing Public Space, Melbourne

I took part today and, though for a moment we thought the wind was going to launch the shelter the weavers were creating into the air, it was a wonderful morning - come along!

Each week you will learn a new style of weaving with diverse materials from wood frame, to grass to recycled cloth and connect with a community of diverse and talented traditional artists and local residents.

January 25th – March 01, 2019.
10am-12 each Friday.
FREE. Materials supplied (though if you have yarn scraps to contribute they'd be welcome)
