My artwork is exhibiting at the Malvern Artists’ Society gallery exhibition!

You can see the original artwork and work in progress in my pinned post.

I love this piece so much that I organised James from Acme Et Al to create a fine art print from my original work, Heidi (client artwork), for the exhibition before it returns to my home after the show.

It was lovely hearing comments and compliments from visitors on opening night… yes! I was quietly watching and spying!

This year’s exhibition is incredibly competitive and filled with high quality work. One of my personal favourites is Kookaburra by Natallia. The depth of field and level of detail made me stop for a moment before realising it was an acrylic painting..

I will not spoil this for you though, you will have to visit and see it yourself!

The exhibition runs until 25 May

A beautiful artwork I completed in early May.

Heidi the cat is a pastel calico. She’s a very social neighbourhood cat who loves kids, and we must protect her 🥰

The most challenging part of this painting was trying to preserve the watercolour characteristics while resisting the urge to add too much detail.
The light and shadows helped shape the artwork, and I’m really happy with the level of detail I added to make Heidi stand out from the harmonious background. I also included the little red flower in front of her, which was there in the original photo.
