In April, the United States Studies Centre (USSC) at the University of Sydney is excited to host a ‘QUAD: Emerging Voices’ round table with a select cohort of the University of Sydney students, USSC CEO Dr Michael Green and US Consul General Christine Elder Links to an external site..

Supported by the US Consulate General Sydney, the round table is an opportunity for the students to explore, question, and exchange ideas on some of the regions’ most pressing challenges – security, emerging technology, climate change, infrastructure etc.

Three students from each QUAD country (US, Australia, Japan, India) will be selected based on the Expression of Interest form responses (LINK BELOW).

ELIGIBILITY

The students should be US, Australian, Indian, and Japanese citizens and be enrolled in the University of Sydney (UG or PG)
Be genuinely interested in foreign policy, international relations, politics, media, and culture
Have a minimum credit (65%) average
Must have completed at least 24 credit points

Now that the academic year is in full swing, we’re excited to announce two upcoming student events for our American Studies and USSC cohort: our American Studies Trivia Night.

Our American Studies Trivia Night will be hosted by Associate Professor David Smith, a trusted commentator on America and a trivia expert. It will be held on Wednesday, 19th April from 6 - 9:30pm at The Rose Hotel, Chippendale. There will also be a range of American-themed activities, lots of giveaways, and free food and drinks.
