Tin Sheds Gallery OPEN TUESDAY - FRIDAY 11am - 5pm TSG officially opened in 1988, and was an extension of the Tin Sheds Art Workshops, which began in early 1969.

Tin Sheds Gallery is a contemporary exhibition space located within the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Planning at the University of Sydney. TSG is situated in a highly visible location, and is embedded in a cultural precinct, positioned between the Seymour Centre, Carriageworks, Performance Space, the University of Sydney Gallery, and Verge Gallery. Tin Sheds was an independent art studio, a

nd was a creative space for artistic experimentation. In 1989, Tin Sheds officially became a part of the Faculty of Architecture. In 2004, both the art workshops and the gallery moved into the Faculty’s building. The new Tin Sheds Gallery was built in 2004. Between 2011-13, the curatorial direction of the gallery shifted its attention to showcasing interdisciplinary projects working across Architecture and the Visual Arts. In 2014, TSG is moving to establish itself as a distinctly unique exhibition space in Australia, committed solely to presenting leading national and international works in the field of architecture, and design.
