Recently, there has been a spike in meningococcal cases - as Australia's peak season for the illness is happening now.

Since a lot of you are students around the ages 15-24 and do live in student accomodation, you're more at risk for catching it. It is essential that you know this crucial information.

We urge you to read more about the symptoms, starting with our infographic. Additionally, share this information to your friends as well - as awareness can truly save someone's life.

Want to become an Executive Team member of our society? FORMS ARE NOW OPEN ✨

We are looking for the following roles:

🌏 EVENTS X 3 🌏
- Creates and organises engaging events for incoming exchange students
- Establish plans that outline the itinerary and risk assessment of the event
- Ensure events are executed successfully, and gather feedback after all events
- Finds potential organisations and companies to work with
- Main liaison between external organisations and internal societies

🌏 SOCIAL MEDIA X 3 🌏
- Main point of contact between incoming exchange students and information about events
- Regularly updates social media accounts and advertises all events
- Creates marketing documents required for all events
- Works with Events team in creating effective advertising schemes that will boost the number of participants in events

🌏 SECRETARY 🌏
- Documenting Meeting Minutes
- Assist the team with events/Admin
- Organising and documenting society affairs
- Regularly Attend meetings

🌏 TREASURER 🌏
- Organising and document finances of the society
- Regularly Attend meetings
- Assist the team with questions and queries
- Manage the finances of the society

Additionally, applicants have the option of joining incumbent executive members for a meeting on Tuesday 18th March at 1PM - location being the rooftop garden!

Greetings MacEx !!

As we are a society that goes a lot on external trips (i.e. Blue Mountains) outside for events, we'd thought to shed light on such an amazing resource to help out with emergencies in the case that anything goes wrong on a trip - Emergency+

Emergency+ is an app created by the Australian Government that would send emergency services to your exact location - at any point in time to an emergency operator.

(Also, if you need to screenshot the emergency numbers on the first slide for reference - please do ! We welcome you to do so ! )
