Govt Barisal College, Barisal Govt. Barisal College is situated in Barisal Divisional City, Barisal. The college has started her voyage from 2nd September, 1963.

Initially it was a Night School situated in the BM School campus. To meet the accelerated demand, in 1966 it has been relocated in the present campus. The present campus was the Residence of Mahatma Ashwini Kumar Dutta. Day Section was initiated in 1970. The college has been nationalized on 14th November, 1986. In 2006, Honors Courses have been started in Marketing, Management and Social Welfare.

In 2007, Honors Courses have been started in English, Political Science and Soil Science. Masters Courses have been started here in 1984 in Political Science, Management and History. The historical Tamal Tree of Barisal is in the campus., confidence and sincerity. The College is situated in Barisal Divisional City, Bangladesh. This is the most ancient and aristocrat College of Greater Barisal and one of the most famous colleges of Bangladesh. Barisal College is the holy symbol of knowledge and integrity of Greater Barisal. The mass people feel pride for the college.
