Proud moment for ISU Debate Club!

Team ISUDC 101 has emerged as a Finalist at BUP IV 2026. Congratulations to Rahi Rahman and Likhon Sarker for their dedication, composure, and relentless hard work throughout the tournament. Reaching the final stage in such a competitive platform is the result of preparation, discipline, and the ability to perform under pressure.

Special appreciation to the Moderator of ISU Debate Club, Mayesha Afiya Jarin, for her continuous guidance, mentorship, and support behind the team’s journey.

Wishing our debaters even greater success in the upcoming tournaments. Keep pushing boundaries and keep raising the flag of ISUDC higher.

ISUDC has a major milestone to celebrate. Out of a highly competitive field, our team fought their way to the Grand Finale of the BUP Inter-Varsity Debate Tournament 2026 (Bangla British Parliamentary), sharing the stage alongside DU IBA, BUP, and JUDO.
​While BUP ultimately took the championship title, securing a spot in the top four is a testament to our debaters' hard work, brilliance and resilience. We could not be prouder of this achievement and the standard they have set for the club.
​The team will be officially recognized at the prize-giving ceremony on May 23rd, 2026. Congratulations to our finalists for making us proud on the national stage.

Great news from ISU Debate Club!

Our team competed today at the debate tournament hosted by BUTEX, alongside 48 teams from leading universities across the country, including Dhaka University, Jahangirnagar University, Chittagong University, Rajshahi University, RUET, CUET, NSU, East West University, AIUB, and others.

We're thrilled to share that our team secured 2nd position in the preliminary rounds and advanced directly to the Semi-Finals, outperforming every other team along the way.
The team members are:
Rahi Rahman (English 13th Batch)
Likhon Sarker (Law 4th batch)

Rahi Rahman also got the 6th best speaker position among 96 speakers.

This is a proud moment for ISU. Please keep our team in your prayers as they take on the final stage of the BUTEX Debate Tournament tomorrow - we're going for the trophy InShaAllah!

ISUDC debaters delivered a strong and honorable performance at the 1st COUDS National Debate Fest, showcasing dedication, consistency, and true debating spirit throughout the competition.

A special shoutout to our star performers:
🏅 Likhon Sarker for securing 4th Best Speaker out of 96 speakers
🏅 Rahi Rahman for achieving 7th Best Speaker

Both demonstrated outstanding skills and made us proud with their remarkable performances.
