The celebration of Pahela Baishakh, the Bengali New Year, was observed with great enthusiasm and cultural spirit on April 14, 2026. The program was organized separately by BASC, BANC, and AIMS BASC, each hosting their own programs while maintaining the same festive spirit. Students participated in the celebration wearing colorful traditional dresses, reflecting the rich heritage of Bengali culture. The campuses were beautifully decorated with banners, alpana designs, and traditional motifs, creating a vibrant and joyful environment. Each institution arranged its own program, beginning with a welcome speech followed by a lively cultural program. The cultural programs included songs, dances, recitations, and short dramas based on Bengali traditions. Students performed with great enthusiasm and creativity, making the program enjoyable for all. One of the main attractions of the celebration was the traditional food. Students enjoyed panta bhat served with fish, which is a significant part of Pahela Baishakh traditions. This added a special cultural touch to the program.
Various fun activities and games were also arranged separately by each institution, encouraging students to actively participate and enjoy the day. The celebrations provided a valuable opportunity for students to learn about their culture, express their talents, and strengthen their sense of community. Teachers and organizers played an important role in successfully conducting the program in their respective institutions. Their efforts ensured that the programs were well-organized and meaningful.
In conclusion, the celebration of Pahela Baishakh by BASC, BANC, and AIMS BASC was colorful, joyful, and culturally enriching. Though observed separately, the spirit of the festival remained the same—full of happiness, unity, and cultural pride, leaving lasting memories for all participants.
