Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Teesta University-এর তৃতীয় ব্যাচের (Level–1, Semester–2) শিক্ষার্থীদের অংশগ্রহণে Poultry Science (PRC–1207) কোর্সের আওতায় এক চমৎকার ও জ্ঞানবহ প্রেজেন্টেশন সেশন অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে।

শিক্ষার্থীদের আত্মবিশ্বাসী উপস্থাপনা, সৃজনশীলতা এবং বিষয়ভিত্তিক জ্ঞান সত্যিই প্রশংসার দাবিদার।

Faculty Field Activity Report

As part of practical veterinary anatomical learning and field-based academic activities, a canine skeletal recovery procedure was successfully conducted recently under the supervision and leadership of Dr. Hemayet Hossain Sir.

The dog had expired approximately three months ago and was subsequently buried following standard disposal practices. On 17 May 2026, the skeletal remains were carefully excavated and recovered for academic and educational purposes.

The recovery and field activity were conducted under the direct guidance of Dr. Hemayet Hossain Sir, with active assistance and cooperation from students of the third and fourth batches.

Such practical activities play an important role in enhancing students’ hands-on knowledge in the fields of veterinary anatomy, osteology, and field-based specimen management.

The Faculty expresses sincere appreciation to the supervising authority and all participating students for their dedication, teamwork, and academic involvement in this educational activity.

Official Update

Poultry Farm Visit Successfully Completed

শিক্ষার্থীদের ব্যবহারিক জ্ঞান ও মাঠভিত্তিক শিক্ষাকে আরও সমৃদ্ধ করার লক্ষ্যে আজ Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Science, Teesta University, Rangpur এর ১ম ব্যাচ (L2, S2) এবং ৩য় ব্যাচ (L1, S2)-এর শিক্ষার্থীদের Poultry Farm Visit সফলভাবে সম্পন্ন হয়েছে।

উক্ত শিক্ষামূলক ভিজিটে উভয় ব্যাচের সকল শিক্ষার্থী দুটি পৃথক Poultry Farm পরিদর্শন করেছে। এর মধ্যে Government Poultry Breeding and Development Farm, Rangpur-এ Layer Poultry Farm পরিদর্শনের মাধ্যমে শিক্ষার্থীরা layer production system, breeding, feeding management, biosecurity ও farm management practices সম্পর্কে বাস্তব জ্ঞান অর্জন করেছে।

একইসাথে একটি Private Broiler Farm পরিদর্শনের মাধ্যমে শিক্ষার্থীরা commercial broiler production, housing system, feeding management, disease prevention এবং আধুনিক poultry farm management সম্পর্কে হাতে-কলমে অভিজ্ঞতা লাভ করেছে।

১ম ব্যাচ (L2, S2)-এর শিক্ষার্থীরা Poultry Production and Management কোর্স এবং ৩য় ব্যাচ (L1, S2)-এর শিক্ষার্থীরা Poultry Science কোর্সের অংশ হিসেবে এই শিক্ষা সফরে অংশগ্রহণ করে।

উক্ত ফার্ম ভিজিট কার্যক্রমের সার্বিক তত্ত্বাবধানে ছিলেন ডাঃ হেমায়েত হোসাইন স্যার, যার দিকনির্দেশনা শিক্ষার্থীদের বাস্তবভিত্তিক শিক্ষা অর্জনে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করেছে।

Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Science সর্বদা শিক্ষার্থীদের তাত্ত্বিক জ্ঞানের পাশাপাশি ব্যবহারিক অভিজ্ঞতা অর্জনে প্রতিশ্রুতিবদ্ধ। এ ধরনের কার্যক্রম শিক্ষার্থীদের ভবিষ্যৎ ভেটেরিনারি পেশাজীবনে দক্ষতা বৃদ্ধিতে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ অবদান রাখবে বলে আমরা বিশ্বাস করি।

দ্বিতীয় ব্যাচের শিক্ষার্থীদের সফল প্রেজেন্টেশন অনুষ্ঠিত

Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences-এর দ্বিতীয় ব্যাচের (Level–2, Semester–1) শিক্ষার্থীদের অংশগ্রহণে General Physiology (PRC–2101) কোর্সের আওতায় একটি সুন্দর ও প্রাণবন্ত প্রেজেন্টেশন সেশন সফলভাবে অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে।

শিক্ষার্থীরা বিভিন্ন গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয়ের উপর আত্মবিশ্বাসের সাথে উপস্থাপনা প্রদান করে এবং তাদের দক্ষতা ও আন্তরিকতার পরিচয় দিয়েছে।

কোর্সটি পরিচালনা করেছেন সম্মানিত ডাঃ জয়নব আক্তার ম্যাম।

Faculty Field Report & Clinical Case Update

A clinical field case report is hereby documented for academic and institutional records.

On 07 July 2025, a horse sustained a severe accidental injury. The animal was subsequently rescued on 12 July 2025 by the faculty response team under the supervision and leadership of Dr. Abdullah Sir.

Following the rescue, immediate treatment was initiated under his guidance with active participation of first batch students. During this initial rescue and treatment phase, Anas Azmol E Ahad 󱢏 and Md Mujahidul Islam were directly involved in assistance and primary clinical support.

The animal presented with a severe fracture and extensive soft tissue damage in the left hind limb. Due to delayed intervention, the condition progressively deteriorated and gangrenous changes developed.

Despite all possible clinical efforts, the horse expired on 17 July 2025, and carcass disposal was completed on the same day following standard protocol.

It is further noted that on 17 May 2026, the skeletal remains were recovered from the burial site under the leadership of ডাঃ হেমায়েত হোসাইন Sir, with active cooperation from third and fourth batch students. The earlier rescue and treatment team had no involvement in the skeletal excavation or recovery process.

The Faculty acknowledges and expresses sincere appreciation to Dr. Abdullah Sir, Dr. Hemayet Hossain Sir, and all participating students for their coordinated efforts in this valuable field-based veterinary learning experience.

This important research focuses on the awareness, knowledge, and infection control practices regarding Mpox among hospital nurses and healthcare workers in Bangladesh. The study highlights the current level of preparedness among frontline healthcare professionals and identifies important gaps in knowledge, training, and preventive practices.

The research emphasizes the importance of proper public health education, infection prevention measures, and healthcare capacity building to strengthen outbreak preparedness and protect healthcare workers from emerging zoonotic diseases like Mpox.

This achievement reflects the growing research excellence and academic contribution of Teesta University in the field of public health and veterinary sciences at the international level.

১৫ মে ২০২৬ তারিখে তিস্তা ইউনিভার্সিটির ফ্যাকাল্টি অব ভেটেরিনারি অ্যান্ড অ্যানিমাল সায়েন্সেস-এর শিক্ষার্থীরা PRC-1208: Aquatic and Avian Anatomy (Practical) কোর্সের অধীনে একটি হাতে-কলমে প্র্যাকটিক্যাল সেশনে অংশগ্রহণ করে।

প্র্যাকটিক্যাল ক্লাসে শিক্ষার্থীরা একটি লেয়ার মুরগি, একটি দেশীয় মোরগ এবং একটি রুই মাছ (Labeo rohita)-এর বিস্তারিত অ্যানাটমিক্যাল ডিসেকশন সম্পন্ন করে। এর মাধ্যমে তারা এভিয়ান ও অ্যাকুয়াটিক প্রাণীর অভ্যন্তরীণ অঙ্গতন্ত্র সম্পর্কে বাস্তবভিত্তিক জ্ঞান অর্জন করে।

এই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ প্র্যাকটিক্যাল সেশন শিক্ষার্থীদের গঠনগত অ্যানাটমি ও তার কার্যকরী গুরুত্ব সম্পর্কে ধারণা আরও সমৃদ্ধ করেছে এবং তাত্ত্বিক শিক্ষার সঙ্গে বাস্তব অভিজ্ঞতার সমন্বয় ঘটিয়েছে।

সেশনটি পরিচালনা করেন কোর্স ইন্সট্রাক্টর ডাঃ মোঃ জোবায়দুল কবির বাঁধন স্যার। তাঁর দক্ষ দিকনির্দেশনা ও আন্তরিক তত্ত্বাবধানে ক্লাসটি ছিল অত্যন্ত শিক্ষণীয় ও প্রাণবন্ত।

এমন একটি অর্থবহ ও পেশাগতভাবে সমৃদ্ধ সেশন আয়োজনের জন্য আমরা আমাদের সম্মানিত শিক্ষকের প্রতি আন্তরিক কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করছি, যা একাডেমিক শিক্ষা ও বাস্তব ভেটেরিনারি চর্চার মধ্যে একটি কার্যকর সেতুবন্ধন তৈরি করেছে।

🐄💉 Celebration of World Veterinary Day 2026 💉🐄

On the occasion of World Veterinary Day 2026, organized by Teesta University, a vaccination program was conducted by the Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (FVSA) to promote animal health protection and disease prevention.

As part of the program, the respected Head of the Department, Dr. Md. Abdullah, administered vaccines to animals on behalf of the faculty members.

Vaccination plays a vital role in disease prevention, animal health protection, and ensuring safe livestock management. Such initiatives on the occasion of World Veterinary Day reflect the significance of veterinary services and their contribution to livestock development.

চতুর্থ ব্যাচের শিক্ষার্থীদের সফল প্রেজেন্টেশন অনুষ্ঠিত

Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Teesta University-এর চতুর্থ ব্যাচের (Level–1, Semester–1) শিক্ষার্থীদের অংশগ্রহণে Gross Anatomy (PRC–1101) কোর্সের আওতায় একটি চমৎকার ও প্রাণবন্ত প্রেজেন্টেশন সেশন সফলভাবে অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে।

উক্ত প্রেজেন্টেশনে শিক্ষার্থীরা ৫টি গ্রুপে বিভক্ত হয়ে বিভিন্ন গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ও শিক্ষণীয় বিষয়ে উপস্থাপনা প্রদান করে। নতুন শিক্ষার্থী হওয়া সত্ত্বেও তারা আত্মবিশ্বাস, আন্তরিকতা ও সুন্দর উপস্থাপনার মাধ্যমে নিজেদের দক্ষতার পরিচয় দিয়েছে। প্রতিটি দলের প্রচেষ্টা ছিল প্রশংসনীয় এবং ভবিষ্যতের একজন দক্ষ ভেটেরিনারিয়ান হওয়ার পথে এটি নিঃসন্দেহে একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ পদক্ষেপ।

এই কোর্সটি পরিচালনা করেছেন সম্মানিত ডাঃ হেমায়েত হোসাইন স্যার, যাঁর তত্ত্বাবধানে শিক্ষার্থীরা তাত্ত্বিক জ্ঞানের পাশাপাশি নিজেদের উপস্থাপনা দক্ষতা বৃদ্ধিরও সুযোগ পেয়েছে।

বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় জীবনের শুরুতেই এমন একাডেমিক কার্যক্রমে অংশগ্রহণ শিক্ষার্থীদের আত্মবিশ্বাস, নেতৃত্বগুণ এবং দলগত কাজের মানসিকতা আরও দৃঢ় করে তোলে। নতুনদের এই উৎসাহ, চেষ্টা ও শেখার আগ্রহ ভবিষ্যতে আরও বড় অর্জনের পথ সুগম করবে—এমনটাই প্রত্যাশা।

Field Visit to District Artificial Insemination Center, Rangpur

The students of the 3rd Batch (Level-1, Semester-2) from the Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Teesta University successfully completed an educational field visit to the District Artificial Insemination Center, Rangpur.

The visit was arranged as part of the Embryology course under the guidance of our respected teacher, Dr. Md. Zobidul Kabir (Badhon Kabir Sir). During the visit, students had the opportunity to observe the Bull Farm and gain practical insights into modern reproductive technologies, artificial insemination practices, and livestock breeding management.

Such practical learning experiences play a significant role in enhancing academic knowledge and preparing students for modern veterinary practices and research-oriented education.
