​Seminar Held at the Department of English, Leading University 🎓
​A seminar was organized by the Department of English at Leading University on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at 1:00 PM in Gallery-1. Titled "Mastering the Craft of Literary Translation," the event featured Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Taj Uddin as the chief guest. Presided over by Mrs. Shammi Akter, Associate Professor & Head of the Department of English, the seminar welcomed Professor Dr. Mohammad Shafiqul Islam from the Department of English at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology as the keynote speaker. 📚
Keynote Speaker Professor Dr. Mohammad Shafiqul Islam highlighted that literary translation keeps languages rich and vibrant by fostering global communication. 🌐
​ Professor Dr. Md. Rezaul Karim, Dean of the Faculty of Arts & Modern Language, was present as a special guest. 🏛️
​ Md. Mofizul Islam, Registrar of Leading University, delivered the welcome speech. ✍️
​The program was hosted by English Department students Zerin Tasnim Priti and Mahdia Jahan. All the faculty members and students of the English Department actively attended and enjoyed the session. 👥
