Everything you need to know about Burke:

1. Burke House is the basement and ground floor of Bishops Hall.
2. Bishops Hall was newly renovated (score!).
3. B

urke's house colour is orange.
4. The most sacred possession of all Burke residents past and present is the Burke toque. You will receive this during a special ceremony. Protect it with your life.
5. Burke's mascot is a beer-swinging, hard-partying Brawler.
6. Burke's symbol is a giant B that looks oddly like the Philadelphia Flyers logo...
7. Burke's official item is "The BIG STICK" (capitalized for emphasis--it's big).
8. The BIG STICK is hundreds of times cooler than MacIsaac House's broken whalebone.
9. MacIsaac is our rival house.
10. Burke and Mac play a huge hockey game called BURmac each year. BURmac is the biggest event of the year for our house. Players will start to prepare and train in September. We won 5-0 last year and we plan to hold on to the BURmac Cup. We take BURmac very seriously.
11. Burke, and all of Bishops Hall, is part of 'Lower Campus'.
12. The third floor of Bishops is Fraser. The fourth, and top, is Plessis.

Introductions:

Alex Warshick -- President:

Welcome to Burke! I'm a second year Arts student from Dirty D, Nova Scotia (aka Dartmouth). This year is going to be wild! Burke is a place where you will meet a load of new friends, have some awesome parties, and create lasting memories. Whoever said high school years were supposed to be the best of your life never lived in Burke. Get pumped and excited. There's tons to do on campus and Burke is going to be bumpin' all year. If you have any questions, hit me up. Sean Thibert -- Vice-President:

I’m a second year science student from Ottawa. I enjoy my room nice and messy, and I love the smell of fresh apple pie. If you like velociraptors, winning BURmac, ping-pong (table in the lounge, anyone?), and winning BURmac, then I’m sure we’ll have a great time next year! Nick Head-Petersen -- House Director:

My name is Nick Head-Petersen and I am the HD of Burke House for this coming year. I am very excited about the upcoming year! We have some great things planned for everyone so you are all very lucky to be Burke Brawlers! From Beach Party to BURmac to Bishops Ball it is shaping up to be a great year for Burke. See you all in September! Feel free to contact us at any point during the summer with questions or comments!
