BC Timber Sales contractor will be working up the old Jackson Bros quarry for next week blasting rock to obtain ballast for the 4 kms of new logging road going in the upper Roberts Creek Watershed, then over to Dakota Creek Watershed.

Powell River based Pilldolla Creek Contracting will complete the road and then come back and log blocks TA0520 and A87124 - above xwesam - Roberts Creek.

BCTS is disregarding that this RC watershed provides groundwater to Roberts Creek Aquifer 555 in which 164 residents draw water from their private wells.

If you feel that MLA Randene Neill and also Minister Neill of Water, Lands, Resource Stewardship should say something to protect this watershed and Aquifer 555 email her at: [email protected]
