Child Welfare Focus Groups – $50 Honorarium
Abigail Lash-Ballew, PhD Candidate at the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work, University of Toronto, is recruiting BSW and MSW students across Ontario to participate in a confidential research study on child welfare practicum experiences.
Focus groups scheduled for May are now open! This is an opportunity to connect with peers across the province and reflect on child welfare field placements, particularly work involving pregnant individuals and parents of infants and young children, while contributing to research aimed at advancing racial justice and transformative approaches in social work education and practice.
Eligibility criteria:
* BSW or MSW student in Ontario;
* Completed a child welfare practicum within the past year OR currently in a child welfare placement in Ontario; and
* Placement involved working with pregnant individuals and/or parents of infants/toddlers (0–3)
Participation involves a 60–90 minute virtual focus group, and participants will receive a $50 honorarium.
