the tongue can be white, yellow, red, dark green, brown or even black or grey.

Normally, the tongue should have a pinkish tint. If the pink of the tongue is homogeneous, it is often a sign of good health.

1) whitish tongue possibly indicates an infectious disease (thrush),

2) the yellowish color of the tongue is caused by several causes, for example a lack of oral hygiene, poor diet or heavy smoking. But a fungal infection or gastritis can also be involved.

3) A bright red tongue (raspberry tongue), for example, is a typical sign of scarlet fever (infectious skin disease),

4) A dark green colored tongue is an indication that the patient is drugged by consuming cannabis, ma*****na or ecstasy.

5) When the tongue is brown, this is often linked to intestinal disorders, possibly also to kidney failure (if the tongue is additionally swollen). However, brown discoloration can also be due to certain "toxic" foods or convenience products.

6) Treatment with antibiotics can cause the tongue to turn black. We also speak of a hairy tongue, because the tongue seems to be covered with hair. However, a black tongue should also not rule out a serious illness.

7) Gray discoloration of the tongue indicates possible iron deficiency or anemia.

😎 If the tongue has furrows and cracks, an intestinal disease could again be hiding behind it.
