Simona Škríbová a Monika Brusenbauch Meislová publikovaly nový článek v časopise European Journal of Communication. Článek s názvem „Legitimising the Unprecedented: An In-Depth Analysis of the EU Institutional Discourse on Military Aid to Ukraine“ zkoumá, jak Evropská unie diskurzivně legitimizovala své bezprecedentní rozhodnutí poskytnout Ukrajině koordinovanou vojenskou pomoc po ruské invazi v plném rozsahu v roce 2022.
Zjištění ukazují, že ačkoli se všichni aktéři spoléhali na legitimační strategie morálního hodnocení, autorizace a racionalizace, činili tak odlišnými, avšak doplňujícími se způsoby – od institucionálního konsenzu a strategického odhodlání až po morální povinnost, emoční naléhavost a normativní poslání Unie.

Simona Škríbová and Monika Brusenbauch Meislová have published a new article in the European Journal of Communication. Titled “Legitimising the Unprecedented:
An In-Depth Analysis of the EU Institutional Discourse on Military Aid to Ukraine”, the article examines how the European Union discursively legitimised its unprecedented decision to provide coordinated military aid to Ukraine following Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022.
The findings reveal that while all actors relied on legitimation strategies of moral evaluation, authorisation, and rationalisation, they did so through distinct yet complementary registers, ranging from institutional consensus and strategic resolve to moral duty, emotional urgency, and the Union's normative vocation.
