Re:Views Magazine Issue XVII 2026
“Tennyson celebrates the mystery of life and death, the reality of spirit, and the necessity of love in human experience.”
- EDGAR F. SHANNON, JR., Poetry as Vision: Sight and Insight in “The Lady of Shalott”
Art and Life. These concepts intertwine, and yet as we near the end of the third decade of the 21st century, they are polarised as never before. What value do we place on them? Are there even such concepts still, and where do we find them in the contemporary reality of our world? Let us examine these questions with the new issue of the Re:Views Magazine.
SUBMISSIONS
- Opened from the 10th of March 2026 until the 30th of August 2026
- Previously unpublished Research Paper/Article ranging from 1500 to 2500 words
- Chicago citation norm
- Send your submission to our email: [email protected]
Suggestion: As courses at the Masaryk University and our Department of English and American Studies are often very inspiring, we highly recommend you consider submitting a research paper originating from one of them (with the permission of the lecturer). This paper should fall under the overall objectives of our magazine and the theme of the 17th issue, which is “Art and Life” and all that one of these terms may concern. Nevertheless, the topic serves more as an inspiration than a requirement.
Bear in mind that each text will be read and revised by one of the magazine editors, as well as the chief editor and an academic associate.
Should your text be chosen for publication, one of our team members will contact you to discuss the possible revision. We kindly ask you to take any comments into consideration as we strive to preserve a high level of academic integrity.
Publishing with our magazine represents a chance for you to obtain a (non-academic) publication and thus begin your professional journey.

“But in her web she still delights
To weave the mirror's magic sights,
For often through the silent nights
A funeral, with plumes and lights
And music, went to Camelot:
Or when the moon was overhead,
Came two young lovers lately wed;
"I am half sick of shadows," said
The Lady of Shalott.”
The Lady of Shalott – Alfred Lord Tennyson, 1832
