In 2011, internationally acclaimed organist Hans Davidsson commissioned his two sons Jonathan and Gabriel Davidsson, both professional ballet dancers, to choreograph dance movements to three organ pieces by composer Georg Böhm. Together, they performed in front of a full house at the Korean International Organ Academy. This experiment prove

d very successful and the project has grown tremendously since then, adding a third dancer and choreographer Stayce Camparo in 2012. We have also collaborated with Alena Shkatula (Principal Dancer, Estonian National Ballet-ENB), organist Bine Bryndorf (Royal Danish Conservatory of Music), actor Henrik Jandorf (the Royal Danish Theater), poetry reader Joel Speerstra (Gothenburg University senior researcher), Randall Harlow (Organ concertist and scholar), light designer Joakim Brink (Gothenburg Opera) and Jesper Jørgensen (Nörregarde Teatret), Nanae Maruyama, Heidi Kopti, Evgeni Grib, Bruno Micciardi, Evgeni Dokoukine (all soloist dancers ENB), Daniel Kirspuu, Elisabetta Formento and Helen Bogatch (dancers ENB). We currently have two full-evening concert programs, "Four Seasons", touching on important themes like birth, love, comfort, conflict and death, as well as an abstract "Hamlet", where important passages from Shakespeare's greatest play are recited between powerful organ music and expressive dance. These two programs have been presented in churches, symphony halls, and organ concert venues in the following places:

Incheon, South Korea 2011
Rochester, NY, USA 2011
Cornell University, USA 2012

A captivating and multifaceted performance where the symphonic organ displays its great versatility and where music, dance, and light design come together to form a unified concert experience. Hans Davidsson plays the rich, powerful, and sometimes poetic organ music by Bach, Mendelssohn, and the French symphonic masters Widor and Vierne. In contrast, we also hear songs by Mahler and Handel, beautifully embodied by the internationally acclaimed mezzo-soprano Maria Forsström. Natalie Ogonek and Gabriel Davidsson, internationally established dance artists and members of the Davidsson Organ and Dance Collaborative, dramatize the concert with newly choreographed works. The concert is performed seamlessly from beginning to end with dazzling light designs by Johan Alvebris.
