Could a daily spoonful of tomato paste boost your brain? 🍅🧠

A new clinical trial found that eating just two tablespoons of concentrated tomato paste daily for 3 months significantly improved memory, focus, and processing speed in healthy middle-aged adults.

Researchers credit lycopene, the antioxidant that makes tomatoes red, which can cross the blood-brain barrier to reduce inflammation. MRI scans also showed more efficient brain network connectivity and a trend toward higher BDNF (a protein linked to neural growth).

While larger studies are needed, it’s an easy, exciting reason to add more tomato products to your diet!

Human cells rejuvenated by 30 years.

Scientists at the Babraham Institute achieved this by exposing skin cells to Yamanaka factors for exactly 13 days long enough to reverse aging, but short enough to preserve cell identity.

The result? Rejuvenated cells produced more collagen and healed wounds faster than aged ones.

Early-stage, but a massive step toward regenerative medicine.

Base Editing

Landmark study from CHOP and Penn Medicine showcases the power of customized gene editing therapy to treat patient with rare metabolic disease.
