We were honored to host an insightful lecture titled:
“Ontological Paradoxes in Ethical AI: Rethinking Autonomy, Agency, and Accountability in Human-Machine Teaming”
delivered by Dr. Hdr. Frederic Andres from the National Institute of Informatics, Tokyo, Japan.
Held at the Faculty of Informatics and Computer Science, the session brought together students, academics, and professionals for a deep exploration of how AI is transforming from a tool into a teammate—and the complex ethical questions that come with it.
Dr. Andres highlighted critical challenges in human–machine collaboration, particularly in Learning, Education, and Training (LET) environments. The discussion shed light on the evolving nature of autonomy, the redistribution of responsibility, and the need to rethink accountability frameworks in AI-driven systems.
