Georgia Program is a Joint Program between Georgia State University-J.Mack Robinson College Of Business (Atlanta, USA) and Cairo University, Faculty of Commerce-English Section. Program Provides:
-Spending one semester or attending summer courses abroad at Georgia State University.
-1st and 2nd years curriculum is same as Faculty of Commerce English Section.
-3rd and 4th years curriculum is bro
ught from Georgia State University.
-Specialization at 3rd year in one of three majors: Finance, Marketing or Accounting.
-Graduates receive two Certificates:
1-Joint Certificate from Georgia State University and Cairo University.
2-Certificate from Cairo University, English Section. Georgia State University (GSU) and Cairo University entered into a partnership in early 2007 to address the program development needs of the Faculty of Commerce of Cairo University and further the international strategic interests of both universities in the areas of curriculum innovation, teaching, research, and service. The collaboration would target capacity building and institutionalization of reforms through improvement of curriculum, faculty and administrative development, program sustainability, establishment of relationship with private sector and earning of their support. This unique program is a collaboration and convergence of people and ideas, between two of the world’s premier educational institutions, Cairo University and J. The program introduces three tracks for undergraduates, which are Finance, Marketing and Accounting. The specialization at the program begins at the third year as follows:
FINANCE major student will acquire advanced skills in the areas of portfolio management, stocks and bonds valuation, financial statement analysis and corporate finance. ACCOUNTING major student will gain practical knowledge and skills in both local and international accounting systems as well as acquiring skills in using advanced accounting tools in management and information systems as well as adding strategic value to a business by demonstrating the use of the best practices in accounting. MARKETING major student will learn the advanced tools in the marketing research and electronic marketing, plan and implement marketing communication and branding techniques and finally learn how to develop marketing programs in different business situations.
