Super proud 'dad' moment today as seven of our students delivered sports massages to 55 members of staff. They were polite, professional and generally awesome. Well done guys you made your lecturers very proud today although Katie still cant take a serious photo.

To all students. We have eight free tickets to give away for the Women's FA cup final this Saturday at Wembley. The match is between Man City Vs. Birmingham and is a 5.15pm KO. If you would like one/some of the tickets you will need to organise your own travel etc as it is not being run as a college trip due to members of staff not being able to attend. Please message if you want any tickets.....first come, first served.

How do you make sure students develop into evidence based practitioners? You get them to take part in evidence collecting! Today learners took part in a PhD concerned with body shape and physical performance. Here they are using ultrasound to look at muscle fitness and pennation angle. Ps. In case you were wondering, it was a boy.

Here at the college the lecturers believe that the basis of all sport is strength and power. This is why the courses make it a point that all learners have exposure to the three main disciplines of strength sports during their course: Olympic Weightlifting, Powerlifting and Strongman. We are pleased that this is starting to show its dividends with Edwin Lord coming third in the British Powerlifting Championships whilst breaking the British record for deadlift in October and Chloe Hargreaves and Katherine Abel placing first and third at the Bournemouth Weightlifting Open yesterday. Well done all from a very proud lecturing team.

Big win yesterday by the football first team 5-0 vs Hampshire collegiate, top of the league! James Vass scored a hat trick and Reece Kelly and Gavin Saunders added one each.
