Did you take the bus, walk or cycle up to campus as a student? We've even heard that some of you used to hitch a lift up Bathwick Hill 👀

Congratulations to Team Bath Heart, who finished second out of 17 teams at the 2026 World Heart Hackathon in China!

The student-led team is developing a total artificial heart that could one day help patients with heart failure while they wait for a transplant. With more than 70 students involved this year, the team is putting patient needs at the heart of its engineering.

We recently featured Team Bath Heart in BA2, exploring how its students are pushing boundaries to help tackle a global challenge.

Thanks to Andrew Isbister for sharing this brilliant shot of Bath looking spectacularly spooky from Bathwick Hill 🎃

If you fancy exploring the ghoulish side of the city, the University of Bath’s Centre for Death and Society launched a self-guided walking tour last year that swaps Bath’s usual Roman and Georgian history for tales of illness, death, crime and all things macabre.

Yesterday was the University of Bath's official 60th birthday, and it's got us feeling nostalgic.

We want to know: what is your most precious memory from your time at Bath?

Wendy Foy (BA MLES German & Russian 1990) is part of an extremely exclusive club. She's one of only three University of Bath graduates who share a 60th birthday with us!

Ahead of our big birthday on Sunday, we caught up with Wendy to see where life had taken her after Bath.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in New York on Tuesday for our University of Bath alumni social and networking event!

It was great to meet so many alumni in the US and celebrate 60 years of the University of Bath. We hope to see you again in the future🗽

George Ratcliffe studied Politics with Economics at Bath before joining the INEOS Group, where he has spent the last decade building an international career across a range of industries. Now based in New York, he is President of the Americas at INEOS Automotive.

He's just as driven outside the office. A keen runner, George has raced in 37 marathons around the world. His connection to Bath has continued beyond graduation, and he now supports the University as a member of the US Foundation Board.
