Another truly inspirational exhibition opened in our Erne campus last Thursday. Students from the Level 3 Art & Design Practice and Foundation Diploma in Art & Design &Media Practice courses put on a fabulous display of Fine Art Painting, Textiles, Sculpture and much more. It was clear to see each of the students has a very brightly coloured future ahead.

We wish them well whether they're are returning to SWC for higher study or moving onto art college. The exhibition comes to a close this evening.

Full 'Oscars' glamour was the theme for last Friday's Level 3 Creative Media - Film Night. The Art Deco backdrop of the Westville Hotel in Enniskillen set the scene for what was to be a celebration of all the students hard work over the year. The audience of friends, family and staff were blown away by the stories they viewed on the night. We're all very proud of the work the students presented but also the organisation of the event itself...a multi-talented bunch!

A huge well done to our SWC apprentices who competed in the UK Worldskills IMI Skills Competition National Qualifiers for Automotive Technology at the Delphi Academy, Leamington Spa.

Competing against apprentices from across the UK, they demonstrated their skills in high-voltage systems, body electrical systems, advanced diagnostics, and hydrogen-powered vehicle braking systems.

Special congratulations to SWC winners on the day:
Omagh Level 3 Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Apprentices Aaron Kelly, who achieved second place while representing employer Finbar Kelly, and Mackenzie Dickson, who secured third place while representing employer Matthew McKeown.

Aaron and Mackenzie may now have the opportunity to progress to the WorldSkills UK National Finals later in 2026.

A sincere thank you to Matthew McKeown for supporting the apprentices throughout the competition and assisting with their training, and to Jonny Devlin for delivering refresher training on high-voltage systems ahead of the event.
