Hey guys!
Time for a recap of the year so far….
So, we had a successful sports fair with many new members and interest – which is fantastic.
Next up, Winter Series Round 1, at our home airfield (Portmoak) in October. We had a lot of members who took part, lots of fantastic flights and everyone had a great time!

Our secretary David has became an IFP and winch driver, hoping to become a Basic Instructor very soon – which means he’ll be able to instruct our trial flights. This will be excellent for Welcome Week!
There are a few upcoming events, with the next round of the Winter Series at Nympsfield in April which we are interested in attending.
Following on from that is the Inter-University Competition, where any of you can compete (no matter your flying status!). This is taking place 23-30th June at Buckminster Gliding Club (more details will be sent via email).
The weather was pretty rotten over the Christmas break – but things are looking a lot more promising now, with the last few weekends being nice blue skies! Also, the first thermal cross country flight of the year happened on Monday – this is a sing of spring! So, we are looking forward to getting everyone in the skies and progressing in their flying 🛸
