Earlier this month, Edinburgh Futures Institute hosted an EFI House event which brought together current students, alumni and members of our ecosystem for an afternoon of insights on unconventional career journeys.

Edinburgh Futures Institute is excited to invite you to the first event of our Future University events programme — a conversation with Professor Beth Simone Noveck, a world-leading technology expert who advised President Obama.

"Civic University – Democracy, AI, and the Public Imagination" will take place on 2 June at Edinburgh Futures Institute and online.

Professor Noveck, former Deputy Chief Technology Officer in the White House and the United States’ first State Chief AI strategist, will explore how – contrary to some assumptions – emerging technologies could enhance democracy.
