Our HNC Legal Services students stepped into the spotlight at the Moot Court at The University of Edinburgh last week, presenting arguments on both civil and criminal cases.

It was a fantastic opportunity for them to build confidence, develop their advocacy skills, and experience the courtroom environment firsthand.

PASS on Tour! 🎭✨

Earlier this month, graduates and current students from our BA (Hons) Dance & Drama course performed extracts from their final productions at Duns Play Fest, a festival celebrating new performance work in the Borders.

Students performed brand new work, took part in a live podcast recording with lecturer Ashling Findlay-Carroll, and featured across the festival’s social media coverage.

Graduates also brought back their production of The Disco Duckling, previously performed at the Brighton and Edinburgh Fringe Festivals 👏

Festival producer Sara Best loved the energy and talent, saying, “We are very happy and would love to develop this connection.”

A huge well done to our HNC Soft Tissue Therapy students who who spent Sunday at the Edinburgh Marathon Festival helping runners recover after crossing the finish line.🏅

Students provided post-race massages to runners, all while putting their skills into practice and supporting some incredible charities along the way.

Interested in Automotive Engineering? 🚗🔧

At Edinburgh College, we offer a wide range of Automotive Engineering courses, from classic vehicle restoration and accident repair to transport maintenance and advanced vehicle diagnostics. Students gain hands-on experience learning how vehicles are designed, built, maintained, and repaired.

Based at our Sighthill and Midlothian campuses, our purpose-built workshops and lecture spaces give students access to industry-standard equipment and facilities. Alongside full-time courses, we also offer Modern Apprenticeships in light vehicle, heavy vehicle, paint and body repair, and parts.

We also provide specialist industry training in areas including hybrid and electric vehicle maintenance, air conditioning (F-Gas), and electrical diagnostics helping both apprentices and experienced technicians develop the skills needed for the modern automotive industry.

A flying car and a Tartan Space Suit at Edinburgh College! 🚗🚀🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Yesterday we welcomed educators, employers, and industry leaders to our Sighthill Campus for discussions around innovation, emerging technologies, and the future skills needed across industry.

Guests had the chance to get up close to the PAL-V, currently the world’s only road-legal flying car, and hear from the team behind the technology.

We also heard more about the incredible Tartan Space Suit project from Dr Sharon Lemac-Vincere, alongside some really interesting conversations around the future of skills and how education and industry can work together.
