ABOUT ME
I completed courses in acting at the Italia Conti and Rose Bruford schools. I then trained at the BRIT school of performing arts, London graduating with a Btec national diploma in music. I also have a 1st class Bmus (hons) degree in classical singing from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and Levels one and two in Estill voice training.
I have worked professionally in opera and musical theatre performing roles with English Touring Opera, at the Buxton Opera Festival and with Swansea City Opera. I have also performed the role of Jane Eyre at the Bridewell Theatre, London and played the role of Christine in the Phantom of the Opera, Birmingham Symphony Hall. I have also appeared on BBC 4’s ‘And Now the News’ and Ch4’s ‘Operatunity’ respectively.
ABOUT MY TEACHING
I have dedicated myself full-time to teaching singing and piano for the past 11 years.
I teach any student of any age or ability. All I require from you is your commitment and enthusiasm! I teach: classical, musical theatre and pop/rock singing, classical and pop/rock piano and music theory.
My teaching philosophy is that every lesson is designed to suit the student. It is important to me that every student reaches their own personal goals and that they have fun doing it!
For students who would like to, I prepare them for exams using the examination boards - ABRSM, Trinity, LCM or Rock School (depending on the student's individual interest) and students regularly achieve distinctions.

As a music examiner for Trinity College
I have a vast range of private students from professionals to absolute beginners and enthusiastic amateurs.
I have a lot of experience teaching children and young adults who have ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia and Dyspraxia.
I have taught privately successful performers, such as pop singer HRVY, who I taught for several years when he was at school, and the actor Blake Harrison, who I helped prepare for his West End musical debut in 'The Waitress'. I have also taught professional classical singers, helping them prepare for performances with opera companies such as Opera North and English National Opera. I have also taught professional wedding singers and function band singers.
Some of my child students have gone on to study at prestigious drama schools and universities, such as, Italia Conti, Brit School, Mountview, New York Film Academy, Arts Ed and Westminster University. Students have also won places at the National Youth Choir and won places in competitions such as Gravesham music festival, West End Calling and The Voice (TV talent show).
