Tomorrow - Wed. 9th Nov. 5pm in MS Lecture Theatre

Are you interested in quantum technologies and want to know more about how they can be used? Have you wondered what it takes to start up a technology company? Looking for examples of how Physics links with real world applications? Dr Ilana Wisby will provide answers to these questions and explain how she’s converted her Physics studies into devising applications for quantum science. Come along to the Management School Lecture Theatre on the 9th of November, at 5pm to find out what it’s like to be leading a company that’s at the forefront of quantum computing, and learn about life as a deep tech entrepreneur. The talk will be followed by a drinks session, and a Q&A session by our very own Dr Jim Al-Khalili.

Tomorrow - Wed. 9th Nov. 1:15pm
Meet in the IFH Foyer.
Did you know we have three particle accelerators on our campus? These accelerators have been 'hiding' in what is known as the Ion Beam Centre (near to the IFH building). This is your opportunity to view these amazing facilities as well as discover what it would be like to undertake your placement year at the Ion Beam Centre. If interested, come down at 1:15pm to the IFH Foyer, on Wednesday the 9th November for a tour around the centre, where we will be taken around the different facilities. The event will start with FREE PIZZA and REFRESHMENTS!

If you are off campus, please join the virtual option - PM us for the Zoom link.
