Content warning: mention of calories and eating disorders

After collaborative work between myself, Huey Arslan, Andy King, David Prescott and JD Wetherspoons, I am now delighted to share with you all that Wetherspoon at Sanctuary will now be providing calorie-free menus upon request, you just have to ask at the bar for one. The standard menus will still have calories on them and these are simply an extra addition you can request. These menus will have all numbers omitted with black marker from them to allow students who suffer from either calorie discomfort or eating disorders to order food without numbers looming over them. New printed versions will replace these in the following week.

Happy this has been given the go-ahead in perfect timing for Eating Disorder Awareness Week, from February 27th - March 6th.

COMMUNITY LARDER CAMPAIGN 🔔

Come to student central today before 4pm and have your say on a community larder within our union!

This would be a feature which would open weekly or so and provide non perishable items such as tinned food for students. This campaign arises on behalf of the rising cost of living and struggles to afford food. Later logistics are up for debates still but this base requires student support to take off! 👨‍🎓

Happy to announce donation station has officially been opened ✊

It's been amazing to watch this unfold from my donation christmas box during COVID19, to the motion I got passed at UC, then our little beanie bin and now with the helps of Elise, marketing, Shelly and Phoebe we have an official donation station!

Proud of this win 🖤 It looks amazing!

Graduation doesn't have to be goodbye to Hull.
