I qualified in 2007 from The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies at the University of Edinburgh. In 2008 I joined Forest House Vets Ltd an RCVS accredited practice as a veterinary surgeon and was fortunate early in my career to be offered the opportunity to buy into the practice and become a shareholding director. The practice is mixed including emergency out of hours and sole charge, provid

ing excellent care for companion, equine and farm animals, which ensures a diverse and interesting work load. Becoming a director enabled me to drive the business forward with branding, promotions and PR events. I also quickly took on the HR & personnel role, dealing with recruitment, settlement/redundancies and an employment tribunal. My time with the practice has seen my skill-set tuned and utilised to its best advantage enabling me to progress personally and professionally.
