The Lincoln Swan Project received report of a suspected avian influenza outbreak in Lincoln. As a precaution, we are raising the alert to help prevent further transmission among birds and reduce any potential risk to humans.

What you should do:
⚫ Avoid close interactions with wild birds – please do not feed or handle them.
⚫ Do not touch dead birds.

If you find one or more dead swans/birds:
⚫ Please do not touch the birds.
⚫ Call the Defra helpline on 03459 33 55 77 (Mon–Fri, 8 am–6 pm) and select option 7.
⚫ If you find a dead swan, please inform the Lincoln Swan Project as well, regardless of whether the bird is ringed. You can report this through the App (please note in the comments box that the bird was dead when found) or use the contact details below.

Kirsten McKenzie attended the Body Representation Network (BRNet) Conference and Annual General Meeting in Utrecht from 2-4 July in her capacity as a member of the Network’s Board and Steering Committee. She has led the development of the new branding for BRNet and unveiled this alongside the new logo at the AGM. Her recommendations for EDI representation were also unanimously accepted by the Board.
