We’re pleased to introduce the Guest Speaker Series at , a new initiative bringing industry insight directly into the academic experience.

Led by Dr K Lee, the programme features industry leaders, entrepreneurs and subject experts, delivering sessions that go beyond traditional lectures through real-world case studies and interactive Q&As. Our focus is clear: strengthening student employability, commercial awareness and confidence.

The series launched with Solomon Soja, who explored “How ethical AI will create more jobs, not replace them,” sharing insights on integration, future skills and leadership in a digital economy.

We also welcomed Francesca Allen, who gave a practical perspective on building a brand through social media and running a business, highlighting the importance of testing, consistency and adaptability.

This initiative marks a strong step in bridging academia and industry, equipping students with the practical knowledge and confidence to succeed.

We talk about more than ever before. But knowing it matters - and knowing what to actually do - are two very different things.

This is why the theme for this year’s (11-17 May 2026) is perfect for addressing gaps between understanding and application. The theme is “action” because, as the Mental Health Foundation put it, whilst awareness is vital, real change comes when we take action.

In our latest , Kunal-Chan Mehta and Ali Dawn explore why small and realistic actions can make a meaningful difference to our wellbeing.
