MARS Bioimaging Ltd advances to a $10M Series A and appoints LBS alum Dr Ojas Mahapatra as Group CEO to scale its world-first 3D colour CT imaging technology.

Ojas said: "My journey at London Business School was incredibly rewarding as it equipped me strongly for the executive roles I now undertake within organisations. I particularly valued the insights I gained on the Executive Education programmes, which continue to shape how I operate in high-growth environments. I credit much of my approach to leadership and organisational drive to the knowledge and perspectives I developed at LBS.

I am naturally drawn to companies that deliver tangible benefits to society. MARS Bioimaging is an excellent example—bringing cutting-edge healthcare technology directly to patients at the point of care. The shift we are driving is akin to moving from large, immobile printing machines to compact, portable printers on your desk. Similarly, we are delivering color CT scans right in a doctor's office, eliminating the need for a radiation-enclosed room and making advanced diagnostics more accessible and convenient."

👏 Join us in congratulating Ojas on this incredible achievement 👏

We’re thrilled to announce that we are the first educational institution to partner with the legendary Clipper Round the World Yacht Race and Education Partner.

On 31 August, our LBS yacht will depart Portsmouth, beginning an epic 11-month, 40,000-nautical mile adventure of discovery across the globe. This is more than a race. It is a real-world test of leadership, teamwork, resilience, and a journey into the unknown.

As Skipper Gav Rees shares: “I have combined my sailing and corporate career for over 20 years and the leadership and people skills in both fields complement each other hugely. One of my motivations for skippering The Clipper Round the World Yacht Race is to further test and develop my leadership skills in the highly pressured race environment.”

We’re excited to support Gav, First Mate Zoe Longley, and the crew on this extraordinary journey.
