I have an update on the closure of the ICwS. Thanks to your lobbying, a new, high-level committee has been appointed to review the future of the Institute and Commonwealth studies at the University of London. They will report their recommendations by the end of June 2021. We remain hopeful that a sustainable plan for the ICwS can be found. The MA in Understanding and Securing Human Rights is proposed to move to the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, along with the faculty, refugee studies programmes and distance-learning MA in Human Rights. The ICwS played a vital role in nurturing all of these teaching and research initiatives.
