A Mozart manuscript has been found in the National Library of France in Paris! The Royal College of Music Library houses the original score of Mozart's Piano Concerto in C minor, K491 – another incredibly rare treasure. Last night was the culmination of a collaborative project with RCM musicians and students from the North London Music Hub alongside London Sinfonietta 👏
 
Over the past month they have been working towards a performance of brand new work by James B Wilson, performed side-by-side with London Sinfonietta players at Southbank Centre’s Queen Elizabeth Hall. What a wonderful opportunity and a fantastic evening of music-making – congratulations to everyone involved! ✨

Experience the magic of five world-premiere short operas by RCM composers, brought to life by RCM singers and instrumentalists working with pathfinding opera company Tête à Tête.

The Great Exhibition Road Festival returns to South Kensington this weekend!

As part of the festival enjoy ‘This Turning World’ – a performance from staff and students of the Royal College of Music with music, poetry and images to reflect on our relationship with the more-than-human world; as well as ‘The Joy of Playing Music’ – a lecture with RCM music psychologist Dr Neta Spiro, exploring what happens in our brains when we sing or play together.
