Yesterday, the Vail Williams team hosted a client breakfast in the private dining room at The Ivy, Birmingham, bringing together clients and professional referrers from across the Midlands for some tasty food and even better conversation.

Laptops switched off. Work phones on silent. Cue exploring the forest on our doorstep for a worthy cause.

Our South Coast team took full advantage of the beautiful weather and took part in a sponsored walk in the New Forest for regional charity, Sophie's Legacy. Three doggos, over 6.5km later and £347 was raised by our team - not bad for 90 minutes of chatting and getting some steps in.

A few were a little parched at the end of the walk so rounding the trip off at the pub was the obvious solution. Tying in a FunFund event with charity activities was a great way stop talking about work and get to know others in the region better.

We can spend more time with people at work than we do at home. Why not make work more fun by getting to know your colleagues in a different setting? That's what makes Vail Williams unique - creating a culture that makes you want to stay.

🤝 It was great to have the Thames Valley regional charity Nature Nurture join our town hall last week to discuss the work that they provide and how our fundraising helps the community.

Nature Nurture's aim is to get more families exploring the outdoors, creating spaces that are safe and sustainable for future generations and offering free events to local neighbourhoods to get involved.

🌳 There's a wide range of schemes they currently work on including Holy Brook Nook that our team helps out at once a month. Tasks have already included cutting back overgrown nettles, collecting litter and rebuilding natural fences - keep you eyes peeled for our next outing later this month and beyond!

Thank you to Elspeth, Natalie, Lynne and Brenda for popping in. We can't wait to join the next events coming up at Apex Reading.

🏇 We love a bit of cross-regional collaboration and there's no better place to do some serious networking than at the race course.

Our Surrey, Gatwick and London teams linked up, taking some clients to Epsom Downs Racecourse to join us in The Royal Box hosted by Suzanne Holloway.

👏 It was an incredible evening last week where we were lucky enough to sponsor the 8.05pm Vail Williams Handicap 2026 - congratulations to eventual winner, Uppercase.

But that's not all... Our team also chose the Best Dressed horse for the evening with Dream of Mischief taking the honours.

🎙️Blog: What UKREiiF taught me about the future of property – a NextGen perspective

One month on from UKREiiF, the conversations, ideas and outcomes are still resonating.

Earlier this year, Planner Sophia Piatto won an internal Vail Williams competition to attend the UK's largest real estate and infrastructure event, giving her the opportunity to hear directly from industry leaders, policymakers, developers and investors about the trends shaping the future of our sector.

In this article, Sophia reflects on the key themes that stood out to her at the event, as a next-generation property professional, including:

✔️The growing role of AI in shaping the profession.
✔️The importance of placemaking over and above housing targets.
✔️The significance of innovation ecosystems like Oxford-Cambridge Arc.
✔️ Progress around inclusion and diversity in the property sector.

We hosted our latest London event at Bill's yesterday and it was the perfect blend of networking, nattering and new faces - the food and merchandise also went down a treat!

❤️ Sometimes you just need to take a step back and realise what has been achieved.

For the last two years, our Surrey team have been raising funds for The Eikon Charity who specialise in providing support for children and young people in the community.

🚵 After multiple sponsored bike rides, golf days, charity quizzes, a Santa run and even a couple of brave souls jumping out of a plane to raise money, we were honoured to offer a cheque to them yesterday for....

£6,629.00!

👏 Thank you to every person who has donated over the the last couple of years, the money will help so many young people across the region in the coming months.

- Over and out!

One week on from the most incredible few days in Leeds and our team are still trying to catch their breaths (and regain their voices!)

We could have shared hundreds of photos - and a lot more selfies - but here's a very brief selection captured to show a small snapshot of our time at the UK's largest Real Estate conference.

To our Fantastic Four, we hope the hundreds of thousands of steps and endless cups of coffee was worth it for the countless contacts made, networking opportunities and panel discussions.

It sounds like there's a lot of key themes to unpack over the coming weeks and months!
