Welcome to the official page of The Royal Veterinary College Zoological Society (RVCZS)! RVCZS is the largest society at the RVC and arguably one of the largest zoological societies at a UK vet school and we are growing every year. We are a student lead society aiming to show students the wilder side of the veterinary world. Specialising in exotic species and wildlife we hold talks throug

hout the year dedicated to educating students a bit about the weird and wonderful species out there, touching on everything from husbandry to conservation to clinical cases. As well as our talks we run practical sessions to get our members involved hands on in the exotic world. Everyone is welcome in ZooSoc whether your dream is to become a zoo vet, save the world an endangered species at a time or just fancy something a bit different! We are also a student chapter of the Association of Reptile & Amphibian Veterinarians! Watch this page for news on what's going on throughout the year and feel free to post comments and letting us know your thoughts! You can also follow us on:

Good afternoon ZooSoc!

We are excited to announce our first research seminar, hosted next Wednesday as an in-person event! This series of talks followed by a networking Q&A and practical session is a perfect introduction to anyone curious about following a research pathway after graduation! Speakers will not only be sharing insight into their work, but also plenty of information on how to get involved with projects so do come along if you are curious about what veterinary, conservation and biomedical research entails! All RVC students are welcome, however spaces will be prioritised to Zoosoc members first. Unfortunately, due to GDPR this talk will not be recorded. πŸ€πŸ¦«πŸ¦”πŸ¦ŠπŸˆβ€β¬›πŸ…
