Have you taken a look at the brand-new Invent with King's programme yet? 👀

Culminating in a free to register and present at an International conference for all participants, this is an unmissable opportunity to do something great this summer!

Over 4 weeks this summer, successful applicants will work together in multidisciplinary teams with clinicians, engineers and entrepreneurs on the programme to develop and validate solutions to current real-world problems in healthcare. The programme will be based at the St Thomas’ Academic Health Sciences Centre at Westminster.

You will be mentored through a ‘5D’ process by its pioneer, Professor Prashant Jha, who has developed and implemented the 5D process to create and guide multiple successful healthcare start-ups in countries as diverse as the UK, USA, Australia, India and Japan. Professor Jha is the founder-editor of the journal BMJ Innovations and has carefully designed the Invent with King’s’ programme along with members of staff and students from King's to maximise the skills and opportunities for its participants. During the programme you will learn from Professor Jha, other external industry figures and students and clinicians like yourselves who have used the 5D process to create award-winning MedTech start-ups. At the end of the programme you will have the opportunity to pitch your solutions at the AHEAD Conference, an international conference at King’s.

Teams will pitch their ideas to leading industry experts at the Academic Health Science Centre at St Thomas’ Hospital. If successful, teams may be given funding and a unique chance to develop their projects further at research and industry sites at King’s or at other centres of excellence internationally. All committed teams will be provided with an official certification from King’s College London recognizing their participation in the programme.
