Well that was a great night to end the season off with a great bunch of lads.
Below is the list of all the winners of the awards this season. Just a couple of mentions for guys throughout the season as Simon Lawson hit a milestone with his 600th appaearance for the club and Philip Mccann who hit the 200th goal milestone this season too.
Time for a well deserved break lads and see you all for pre-season.
One more mention goes to The Standard - Nortel Social Club for hosting us and also welcoming us to our new home pitch for the past season and into the future 👏

🔴 Weekend Result ⚫️

With their 5th game in the last 9 days, the First Team finally bring a close to a frustrating season. Starting the season so well, and running a Premier side close in the Clarence Cup in early December, there was great belief in the squad.

Not playing another game until 10 weeks later ruined any built momentum, impacting availability in the weeks to come through injuries and enforcing a crazy schedule in the months of April and May.

Today’s side handed out a few first team debuts as well as first starts at First Team level for 2nd team regulars who didn’t look a step out of place making the step up.

The 4th started the game well, yet somehow found themselves 3-0 down on the 30th minute. 6 minutes later, the 4th led 4-3 thanks to a 4 minute hat trick from Phil McCann and a goal from Ben McAllister.

The second half was much of the same, with the 4th looking to exploit the space in the Clonduff back line, with Phil adding his 4th and 5th goal of the day to seal the win and bring a positive end to the season.

MOTM : Phil McCann, who also broke the club record for most goals in a single season as he notched his 42nd goal of the season today.

All the best to Clonduff next season, after their promotion to 2A.

Time for a well earned break, before we go again next season. 🔴⚫️

🔴⚫️ Midweek Results 🔴⚫️

Both teams were in action last night, with the First Team beginning the first of their 5 games in 9 days run to finish the season.

In what was a competitive game at the Waterworks, the 4th edged out St Pat’s thanks to a late Phil McCann winner after Neil Morrison had equalised in the second half.

A tough night for the 2s as they hosted a Civil Service side that featured a fair number of first team players, with the 4th no match for them on the night.

Both teams are in action tomorrow in a double header against Newtownbreda, with the first team at home at the Factory Ground.

All support welcome.

🔴⚫️ Weekend Result 🔴⚫️

Just the one game this weekend with the Reserves hosting Cregagh at the Factory Ground.

The 4th started off hot scoring 3 goals in the first 15 minutes, with Ryan Williams volleying home after a super ball from Dean Miller. Curtis Cully made it 2 with a finish from range, before adding his second of the game shortly after.

Neil Morrison’s attempt deflected into the net (👀) to make it 4, with Curtis Cully getting his hat trick with a good finish before Dean Miller’s smart finish made it 5 before the half, with Cregagh reduced to 10.

The second half began with the 4th remaining in control but failing to take their chances before Captain Fantastic Simon Lawson with over 600 club appearances poked home at the back post! Cregagh got one back from a well struck free kick, before Curtis Cully sealed the game with a goal at the end to make it 8.

Good performance lads 💪🏼🔴⚫️

🔴⚫️ Midweek Results 🔴⚫️

Both teams pick up 3 points in their respective midweek games this week.

The 2s left it late to take the points, when they hosted Newtownbreda on Tuesday night with goals coming from Curtis Cully and a last gasp winner from Dean Kelly off the bench.

MOTM : Ryan Williams

The First Team hosted UUJ this evening, with the pitch in pristine condition for a game of football. In what was a closely contested battle between the two sides, as it always is, the 4th came out on top by 3 goals. Phil McCann opened the scoring, adding to his goal tally for the season, before JP leapt like a salmon to head home from a corner.

With UUJ pushing to get back in the game, the 4th wrapped up the 3 points after a lovely counter was finished by the Skipper, Jack Millar.

Much needed 3 points for the Firsts 👏🏼💪🏼🔴⚫️

MOTM : Johnny Patterson

🔴 Weekend Result ⚫️

Antrim Rovers Reserves 1-2 4th Reserves

Goals from Nikki Coates and Dean Kelly gave the Reserves a well deserved victory against a strong Antrim Rovers side.
Great game of football against a good bunch of guys and we wish them good luck for the rest of the season.
