A huge thank you to everyone who was a part of our May residential weekend. Some highlights included welcoming our Taster Day guests, hearing all about Mission & Ministry projects in partnership with our placement supervisors, finishing Saturday modules, preparing our ordinands for weddings with the aid of Mr and Mrs Whitehouse (who've actually been married for more than 40 years) and hearing from Rev Beth Rookwood about life shared together at The Roost. It so good joining together and learning from each other how we can better serve God, the Church and the North East.

It might be gloomy outside today but there is plenty to celebrate inside as we meet together at Ushaw!

We are joined by guests exploring training and studying options with us as well as church supervisors for student Mission presentations. It is such a joy to gather together in such a big group to celebrate how God is at work in our local churches, to be better equipped for ministry and to join people on their journeys of exploration and discernment.

As we punctuate the day with prayer together, we pray for everyone here today and all that this day holds.

It’s that time of year where students are busy working on deadlines! With it, there are plenty of books out there to challenge, inspire, equip and inform. As with everything we do, we hope and pray that this learning helps our students to know God more and serve Him more faithfully.
