Join us on the 26th May to celebrate Georgian Independence Day with a screening of Elene Mikaberidze’s 2024 film ‘Blueberry Dreams.’ The film is a warm, immersive documentary following a family’s hard fought struggle to start a blueberry farm amongst financial and political hurdles in a part of Georgia burdened by conflict, mere miles from the occupied territory of Abkhazia. We are delighted that the film’s director Elene Mikaberidze will be joining us for a Q&A with former Oxford Georgian Society president Sophia Maisashvili after the screening.
This event is open to all, and will begin promptly at 5PM on the 26th May, in the Nissan Theatre, St Anthony's College, Oxford. Please fill out the form in our bio so we can keep track of numbers.
This event is organised by the Oxford Georgian Society in collaboration with the Oxford Georgian Translation Project.
