🎂 🎉 Happy 100th birthday, Sir David Attenborough!

In September 2003, Oxford Brookes awarded Sir David an Honorary Doctor of Science (pictured) in recognition of his contribution to natural history and conservation. 🌱🦍🦋🪶

Sir David’s extraordinary seven-decade career has inspired generations to protect the natural world, including many of our current and former students. Today, we celebrate both a milestone birthday and a legacy that continues to highlight the importance of safeguarding our planet. 🌍

Oxford Brookes Racing is preparing for an exciting summer of competition with the launch of its new 2026 Formula Student car.

The student team will compete at Formula Student UK at Silverstone in July before travelling to Hockenheim in August for Formula Student Germany — marking the team’s first appearance there since 2017.

The new car has been redesigned to be lighter and more efficient, featuring major changes to the chassis, cooling system and battery to improve overall performance.

The car will be officially unveiled at a launch event.
The team has also launched a JustGiving page to support its trip to Germany. Donors giving £100 or more will have their name printed on the car, while the top three contributors will be invited to attend the launch event.
