The Class of 2026 postcards have arrived.

Each card offers a glimpse into the individual vision, creativity, and dedication of our graduating BA Fashion Design students. From material experimentation and innovative cutting techniques to bold storytelling and personal expression, these collections reflect months of research, making, and creative risk-taking.

A small format carrying big ideas — and a preview of the exciting work soon to be showcased in our Graduate Show, The Shape of Things to Come.

Final Year Fashion Design Spotlight | Jess Harding .hardingtextiles THE CRANE DECONSTRUCTED

Inspired by the origami crane, BA (Hons) Fashion Design student Jess Harding developed a final-year collection exploring folding, transformation, and garment construction.

Using origami principles, Jess created garments that combine sculptural form with wearability, showcasing strong pattern cutting, material exploration, and technical skill.

Congratulations to Jess on an outstanding project that highlights creativity, innovation, and dedication.

Join us in celebrating the creativity, innovation, and dedication of our final-year BA (Hons) Fashion Design Class of 2026 at the University of Portsmouth.

Over the past year, our graduating designers have developed ambitious collections that explore identity, sustainability, craftsmanship, technology, culture, and the future of fashion. Through experimentation, research, and making, they have pushed the boundaries of contemporary fashion design, transforming ideas into compelling garments and experiences.
