The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is designed to present a profile of an individual's English language ability in terms of the four key components: listening, reading, writing and speaking skills. Founded in 2013, the IELTS centre at the University of Reading is a British Council approved centre for IELTS testing. The centre itself is part of the International Study and Lan

guage Institute (ISLI) which provides a range of academic languages and specialises on language consultancy and provides its own TEEP (Test of English for Educational Purposes) test for current students and members of the public. Our IELTS test covers the full four components and provides testing on weekends so our candidates do not have to work around their weekly schedule in order to take the test. IELTS can be used for study, work or immigration. It is important that you apply for the correct test, either Academic or General Training.
