Today our A level Science students enjoyed a great day out to take part in a Discover Science Day🔬Students participated in a range of activities including Biomedical Science, Pharmacy, Food Science and Forensic Science👩‍🔬and had their first taste of university life 🎓

It might have been a rather soggy one but it didn’t stop our A level students enjoying the sights and sounds of Amsterdam. With visits to a river boat cruise and time to soak up the atmosphere of the city, they managed to pack a lot into their day 😍 No doubt they’ll all sleep well tonight on the overnight ferry 💤

It was the turn of our A Level English Language students to enjoy a trip to Leeds Crown Court this week. They were able to experience a full spectrum of linguistic registers, sociolects and accents and dialects… all within the courtrooms! It was a fantastic activity to enrich their theoretical knowledge with real life examples.

A-Level law students visited Leeds Crown Court today, helping them to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world legal practice. Having the opportunity to see a live case helps students apply their academic learning of abstract concepts to real-world scenarios. As well as observing courtroom procedures and professional interactions, students gained clarity on their potential future careers in the legal field.
