Every year as part of their final assessment in the International Commercial Litigation unit, our LLM students get a chance to step into the shoes of legal counsels and plead their case before a (mock) court.

In cross-border commercial disputes, will an English or another foreign court have jurisdiction to hear the case? What law will it have to apply to the merits of the dispute? What, if any, are the implications of Brexit on the answers to these questions? These were some of the complex questions that our students handled very well in the “courtroom” last week and impressed the “judges”: well done to all of them!
