Official update from the University of Kent

We know many parents in the WIWIKAU community have been understandably concerned following the news about meningitis cases linked to the University of Kent.

The university has shared the following update and we are posting it here so parents have access to the official information.

For parents asking about vaccinations, we have also added guidance about meningitis vaccines for students on the WIWIKAU website (Link is in comments)

As this is a sensitive situation involving families and an ongoing public health response, comments have been turned off to prevent speculation or misinformation.

Looking back, what was:

❌ one thing they took that they never used

We’re updating the WIWIKAU packing list and real experiences are always the most helpful.

For example we often hear:
